I read an article on carnism and was fascinated by the religious-like speech and approach. 

 

*Carnism is a concept used in discussions of humanity's relation to animals (...)  and consumption of animal products

*Carnism is presented as a dominant belief system

*Central to the ideology, according to the theory, is the acceptance of meat-eating as "natural", "normal"
